Paid straight to your mobile money

When you collect a transfer with Korah, the payout goes to your mobile money wallet. Korah agents pay to Orange Money, Afrimoney and Qcell Money numbers in Sierra Leone, so you do not need to carry cash from the counter.

How the payout works

  1. Submit the transfer. Enter the transfer code and the mobile money number to pay in the Korah app.
  2. An agent pays it out. A registered agent processes the transfer and pays the amount to that mobile money number.
  3. The reference is recorded. The agent must enter the mobile money reference before the transfer can be marked paid, so every payout leaves a record.
  4. You are notified. You get a notification in the app, and you keep the mobile money reference as your proof.

Your number or a friend’s

Choose Myself to be paid to your own mobile money number, or Friend to pay someone else. For a friend, enter their mobile money number and the code, and the payout goes to them. Check the number carefully before you submit: Korah and its agents aren’t responsible for a payout sent to a number entered incorrectly.

How do I know I was paid?

You get a notification in the app, and the agent records the mobile money reference, which you keep as proof of the payout.

Can the money go to someone else’s mobile money number?

Yes. Choose Friend in the app, enter their mobile money number and the code, and the payout goes to them.

Is the commission taken out of my payout?

No. Korah adds commission on top of your amount; it is never deducted from it. The rate for each service is shown in the app before you submit.
